Welcome to Newbridge OOOOBY!
The newest OOOOBY group in Ireland. The idea is based on the Food Co-op ideas of sourcing local producers and suppliers of local, tasty, affordable and if possible, organic food.

The Newbridge OOOOBY group has been making links with local producers and a local health food supplier to create a local food buyers group for the town.
Formed by a few interested individuals in November 2010, NOOOOBY is tentatively finding its feet and expanding its buying power!

How the co-op is working
We meet at The Bridge CDP, on Charlotte St, Newbridge at 8pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.

How to Order
If you wish to order contact the NOOOOBY crew to receive a monthly order list, methods of payment and updates. You can order online or in person
Other tit bits:
*We always have a stash of extra bits to sell on the ‘pick up’ night, so it’s worthwhile bringing some extra change in your pocket when you come down to pick up your order!
*Can people bring bags with them to the ordering night - plastic/paper/reusable/fabric etc. and then we’ll have a stash for making up the orders on the collection night.
Current News
We’re meeting again next Wednesday 27th April at 8pm, so if you want to order something, you need to so in the next couple of days. I’m afraid at this stage it’s online orders only.We realise that it possibly feels like all the ordering is happening via an online system, but just to make sure you realise that on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 8pm - the order night (the next one will be Wed 11th May), we’re encouraging people to come down in person, to meet and have a chat and a meeting, and to order and pay in person if that suits.
We often buy extra goods from the wholesalers, so we’ve been setting up a kind of ‘impromptu’ shop in the Bridge CDP on Station rd, and when you come down to pick up your order, we have lots of things for sale there on the night also, that you can pay for in cash, it becomes a kind if unique shopping experience!
Our meeting this month will be

Pick up goods/veg bought etc.
Purchase any ‘extra’ items that are in the impromptu shop!
