Welcome
FADA are a group of neighbours in County Kildare, Ireland, who work on local solutions to global problems.
Our goal is to prepare our communities for a potentially difficult future by becoming as self-reliant as possible. We host classes to teach people gardening, food preservation, home heating, seed saving, animal husbandry, cooking and home crafts. We give talks on subjects like economics, money management, peak oil, climate change, local currency and clean energy.
We have moderated political debates and spoken at local churches and town meetings. We create community festivals and concerts to bring people together and feature local talent. We work with students to monitor local energy use and to dramatise a world after fossil fuels.
We are looking for more people to volunteer with us. For more information e-mail us at info@fada.ie.
